Home Instead East Northants office has been a provider of high quality home care services to the elderly and younger disabled people living in North and East Northants and North Bedfordshire, servicing the principal towns of Rushden/Higham Ferrers, Wellingborough and Kettering and all surrounding towns and villages, for the past 5 years.
The business is owned by husband and wife team Mark and Rosina Darnell, who both share a clear vision of supplying the means for people to remain living with dignity and independently in their own homes with the care and support that their team of CAREGivers provide. Mark and Rosina decided to open a Home Instead office as they both had previous first-hand experience of how hard it was to find good quality care for their own parents.
Offering services ranging from companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care and specialist dementia support, Home Instead regards it as a special privilege to look after people with varying needs and conditions, with compassion and empathy. Some clients receive one hour of housekeeping help a week, while for others twenty four hour specialist dementia support is required. Others may only require help during a family break or respite period. The services are completely adaptable and variable to suit client and family requirements.
Discharge from hospital is often a difficult time. Home Instead is able to put personalised care packages in place to meet individual, changing needs, generally within 24 hours. All CAREGivers are trained in reablement, providing person centered care to ensure a return to normal health and wellbeing is optimised during the period of our support.
It is this ethos which drives Mark and Rosina and their team to provide the highest quality of service with thoroughly vetted and trained CAREGivers. All staff have enhanced DBS checks and must provide six references before training begins. The CAREGivers are also carefully selected for their empathy and nurturing qualities, their caring and respectful approach to the elderly and younger disabled people, and their willingness to match their valuable skills with their clients own requirements.
The business is registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides its services to privately paying clients and also the NHS continuing healthcare service, and those with personal budgets and in receipt of direct payments.
The service that we provide is different to many care companies. All support is bespoke and individually planned for each client, with input to the planning always welcome from the client and their families or advocates. Visits are not rushed as Home Instead understand the importance of spending time supporting clients on a social and emotional level as well as getting the necessary ‘jobs’ done. We concentrate on building relationships between CAREGivers and clients, so continuity of staffing and introductions of CAREGivers to clients are of great importance.
