16 Jan GUEST SPEAKER – FEBRUARY 3RD – KOZZY HOQUE – WHY PENSIONS ARE IMPORTANT
Shortly after graduating from university in 2004, I took on a Graduate Management role in one of the world’s largest banks at the time, working in the City of London for 2 years. This led to being appointed to bank branch manager roles in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire over a course of 7 years, which helped me build strong relationships with the local communities and understand the importance of managing one’s money with the correct advice or guidance and the potential negative impact of not doing so.
I then made the jump to providing specialist and regulated financial advice in 2013 and have since worked in providing holistic advice in areas such as investment planning, retirement planning and family/life protection. The feedback I commonly receive is that I have a special talent for really understanding what my client’s need and want and I am able to communicate at a level that that suits them.
Why did I decide to setup my own financial advice practice? I did so because I want to be able to provide authentic planning advice at a pace and style that suits the clients, not a corporation.
Born in London, but brought up in Wellingborough, I enjoy family life with my two boys and my wife. Having been a keen photographer in previous years, I now spend a lot of my spare time juggling family commitments and developing my Taekwon-do skills – the only bit of fitness I do.
